Frequently Asked Questions

What if my child refuses to participate...like, camera off, no talking, nothing?

That’s okay, we never force interaction!! Our kiddos can observe, use the chat, draw, or simply listen. We build trust slowly, and safety always comes first!

We’ve tried tutoring before, and it made things worse. What’s different here?

Our sessions are co-created around your child’s nervous system, interests, and emotional needs. Academic growth is important of course, but it doesn’t come at the cost of connection.

What if I don’t know which service we need?

Schedule a free call with us, we’ll chat and get to know each other, from there we’ll suggest a support path that feels good to everyone involved.

I’m the one who’s burnt out. Can you help me, too?

Yes! Our 1:1 parenting sessions (Zoom or voice-note based) are designed to support you. No fixing or shame, just grounded, compassionate space to reconnect with yourself, and your child.

My child isn’t diagnosed but struggles with focus, emotions, or school in general. Can you still help?

Absolutely. We don’t require a diagnosis, we support children who need something different, whether they have a formal label or not.

What happens in a Regulation Session? Is it like therapy?

It’s not therapy, and it’s not behaviour management either. We gently explore tools for big feelings, energy shifts, and nervous system awareness through co-regulation, storytelling, and play. Your child gets to show up exactly as they are.

What if my child doesn’t want to be in a group session?

That’s okay. We offer 1:1 support as well as groups, if and when a group session feels like a good fit, we keep them small, gentle, and flexible, no pressure to talk or be on camera.

What does the “Pathfinder” service actually look like in practice?

It’s ongoing 1:1 support for young adults who want help with life beyond school, think calendars, job prep, routines, emails, organizing their day, or even just staying on track. We work at their pace, in their language.

Do you only work with kids?

Nope - We support the whole system! That includes parents, siblings, and neurodivergent young adults, because when the people around a child feel resourced, everything shifts.

Is this therapy? Is it academic support? Is it coaching?

It’s a bit of all three, but also something different. We bring together brain science, emotional regulation, and real-life tools in a way that honours each person’s nervous system and humanity. The relationship is the method!
